Oakland, 2024. A tiny print farm in a converted garage was getting more orders than it could fulfill — and every request was teaching us something new about what people actually needed: transparent pricing, real tracking, and shops they could trust.
The hardware is already everywhere. There are hundreds of thousands of 3D printers sitting idle in garages, co-working spaces, and small shops across the country. The gap was never manufacturing capacity — it was the layer between people with ideas and people with machines.
We’re building that layer. Transparent, local-first, escrow-protected, and weighted toward the small shops that built this industry in the first place.
Every price, bid, and ranking decision is auditable. Makers see why they ranked where they did. Customers see every bid side by side.
Proximity is a first-class signal. Lower carbon, faster delivery, stronger local maker economies.
A solo maker in Tacoma competes on the same playing field as a 15-printer shop. Rank is earned through delivery, not size.
Escrow, not deposits. Customers release payment on receipt. Makers get paid reliably.
